BEFORE YOU START

Forecast Settings controls which sources participate.

MoniTrak uses your existing income items and expense categories as forecast sources. You decide which ones should be included.

✓

Income items can provide sources for expected inflows

✓

Expense categories can provide sources for expected outflows

✓

Each source can be included or left out independently

✓

Reference amounts provide context but do not replace the forecast settings you configure

STEP BY STEP

Let's get it set up.

01

The source remains available in MoniTrak.
◎

Leaving a source out of the forecast does not remove the underlying income item or expense category from MoniTrak.

05

Use reference amounts as context

Forecast Settings may show an existing planning or budget amount beside a source. This helps provide context while you configure the forecast.

The reference amount can help you configure the forecast, but it does not automatically determine the amount used by the forecast assumption.

06

Refresh the source list when needed

Refresh sources updates Forecast Settings from the income items and expense categories currently available in your workspace.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Included sources are ready for their forecast assumptions.

Choosing a source determines whether its configured assumption can contribute expected cash movements. The amount and timing are managed separately.
