BEFORE YOU START

Build some financial context first.

The Overview becomes more useful as you add accounts, cards, transactions and planning information to your workspace.

✓

Add the bank accounts you want included in your financial picture.

✓

Add any credit cards you want to track.

✓

Record enough transactions to provide useful income and spending context.

✓

Add Budget or other planning information when those features are relevant to you.

STEP BY STEP

Let's get it set up.

01

Start with your financial snapshot

The top of the Overview gives you a quick summary of your current position. Start with available cash and card outstanding, then use Net to understand the relationship between them. Income, Expenses and Remaining add the current period's activity.

AVAILABLE CASHAED 38,500Across eligible bank accounts
CARD OUTSTANDINGAED 7,250Across tracked credit cards
NETAED 31,250Cash less card outstanding
INCOMEAED 12,500Current period
EXPENSESAED 8,200Current period
REMAININGAED 4,300Income less expenses
◎

The Overview summarizes information already held elsewhere in MoniTrak. Use the dedicated feature pages when you need to update or investigate the underlying information.

02

Check your planned income and upcoming card payments

The next area brings planning and near-term commitments into view. Salary Planner helps you compare planned income with commitments, while Upcoming Credit Card Payments keeps approaching card obligations visible.

UPCOMING CARD PAYMENTSNext payments

20 NovTravel CardAED 640
◎

These summaries help you see what is coming up without replacing the detailed Salary Planner or Credit Cards views.

03

See how income and spending are developing

Use the income and spending visuals to understand the activity behind the headline numbers. Income vs Expenses shows the relationship between money coming in and going out, while Spending by Category shows where recorded spending is concentrated.

Categories turn individual transactions into a more useful view of how your money is being used.

04

Watch balances and budgets over time

The Overview also helps you move beyond today's totals. Bank Balance Trend shows how your cash position has changed, while Budget vs Actual compares your monthly plan with recorded spending.

◎

Use these Overview charts for orientation, then open Reports or Budget when you need the detailed breakdown.

05

Review the accounts behind the totals

Account and credit-card summaries let you connect the Overview totals back to the individual financial accounts behind them. This makes it easier to identify which account or card you want to examine next.

◎

Bank accounts remain separate from credit cards because available cash and outstanding card balances represent different parts of your financial position.

06

Finish with your recent financial activity

Recent Transactions gives you a quick view of the activity behind your balances and reports. Other Accounts can also keep additional financial information visible without mixing it into your main bank-account or credit-card totals.
