Keeping these values separate makes your credit card information easier to understand.
Credit limit — the maximum limit recorded for the card
Outstanding balance — the amount currently owed
Available credit — the unused portion of the recorded limit
Available cash — money held across your cash accounts
STEP BY STEP
The credit limit represents the maximum card limit recorded in your MoniTrak workspace. In this example, the Everyday Card has a limit of AED 25,000.
The outstanding balance shows how much of the card balance is currently owed. Comparing it with the credit limit provides useful context for the card.
Available credit is the difference between the recorded credit limit and outstanding balance. With a AED 25,000 limit and AED 6,500 outstanding, AED 18,500 remains available in this example.
Available credit represents unused card capacity. It is not money held in your accounts and should not be added to available cash.
You can also compare the outstanding balance with the credit limit as a percentage. In this example, AED 6,500 outstanding against a AED 25,000 limit represents 26% of the recorded limit.
KEEP THE DISTINCTION CLEAR
MoniTrak can show available credit for context while keeping it separate from the money held across your cash accounts.
AED 18,500 of available credit is not added to theAED 100,000 available-cash total.
