CREDIT CARDS
Keep your active card list relevant when a card is closed, replaced or no longer belongs in your current financial picture.
3 min readBEFORE YOU START
Before removing a card from your active workspace, check its outstanding balance and consider whether you still need its historical information.
Confirm that you selected the correct credit card
Review the card's current outstanding balance
Consider whether historical information should remain available
Understand how removing it may affect card outstanding totals
STEP BY STEP
Go to Credit Cards and select the card you no longer want included as an active card in your workspace.
Open the card options to review the actions currently available for that credit card.
If MoniTrak provides both options, archiving can keep an inactive card available for historical context while removing it from active views. Removing a card is intended for information you no longer want retained as an active card.
Review the confirmation shown in MoniTrak before continuing. The final archive and removal behavior should match the controls available in the released product.
Check whether the card has an outstanding balance and how removing it from active card totals may affect the financial picture shown in MoniTrak.
This card currently contributes AED 5,000 to the total card outstanding shown in this example.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
If the card stops contributing to active outstanding balances, your total card outstanding and illustrative financial position can change.
Removing a card from MoniTrak does not settle, cancel or repay anything with the card provider. It only changes how the card is represented in your MoniTrak workspace.
