STEP BY STEP
Spending analysis groups recorded expenses into categories and shows how much each category contributed to total spending.
The percentage of spend shows how much of your total recorded spending belongs to each category.
Use the previous-month amount and change indicator to identify categories where recorded spending increased, decreased or appeared for the first time.
An increase or decrease is not automatically good or bad. The comparison helps you identify what changed so you can investigate the activity behind it.
Income analysis uses the same structure to show the categories that contributed to your recorded income for the selected month.
Category analysis helps you identify the areas worth exploring. You can then open a category to see the recorded transactions behind its total.
FROM TOTALS TO CONTEXT
Income and spending analysis turns recorded transaction activity into categories, shares and comparisons that are easier to interpret.
Categories help explain recorded activity. They do not create or change the underlying transactions.
