MoniTrak needs the original account information before it can represent the balance in your broader financial picture.
A name for the foreign-currency account
The account type
The currency the account is held in
The current balance in that currency
STEP BY STEP
Open Accounts and choose Add account, just as you would when adding an account held in your base currency.
Select the currency in which the account balance is actually held. Keep the original currency attached to the account rather than converting the balance yourself.
The account's original currency should describe the balance held by that account. Your base currency is used separately for the broader reporting view.
Enter the account balance using the currency selected for the account. In this example, the USD savings account holds USD 10,000.
MoniTrak can show the original balance alongside an estimated value in your base currency using the FX rate applied in your workspace.
Converted values are estimates based on the FX rate being used. Actual bank conversion rates, spreads and transaction costs can differ.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
This helps you understand the account in its own currency while still connecting it to your broader MoniTrak financial picture.
